The best thing that university taught me? That Moroccan oil is an absolute hair saviour. (All tutors hearts have broken…. I jest, obviously the best thing I learnt was the importance of hard work and literature’s impact on the world… Of course!). Anyway, so I got introduced to Moroccan oil in my first year of university and I have used it ever since. My hair has never felt so soft and well looked after (even after styling and heat damage).
So what is it?
Moroccan oil is a unique oil treatment for your hair. The formula is specifically created to transform damaged hair to something more shiny, smooth and manageable. More importantly, Moroccan oil also improves the hair’s actual condition, thus making your hair stronger with each use.
How do I use it?
Easy. The bottle comes with a little pump lid so I usually put 2-3 pumps of the oil into my hands and run through towel dried hair before blow-drying. If your hair is extra dry or extra long you can use up to 5 pumps. The best thing about Moroccan oil in comparison to other oil treatments I have tried is that it doesn’t leave a residue or make your hair look greasy.
One thing I will say is that it’s pricey. However, I use mine every time I wash my hair and still haven’t run out (I got this bottle over a year ago!). There are other alternative hair oils which my friends use and swear by so if you can’t justify the splurge you can still take care of your gorgeous locks. But I would definitely recommend spending that little bit extra on the original Moroccan oil… or at least waiting until your birthday to get it as a gorgeous treat!
